The Artisan Process
Done the Traditional way.
Done the way masters have for centuries. Layered properly with natural stone, putties, and pigments.
Mineral Primer
A breathable mineral base bonds to the substrate and conditions it for plaster — a foundation engineered to hold for decades, not seasons.
Texture Layering
Multiple hand-troweled passes of lime and marble dust build the depth, movement, and quiet directionality of the finish.
Burnishing
Pressure and steel slowly pull a natural sheen from the marble within. Light becomes part of the material.
Wax Finishing
A natural wax is worked into the surface — deepening tone, sealing the wall, and revealing its final dimensional richness.

VVS approaches Venetian plaster as architectural craftsmanship not standard wall finishing. Every project is composed around the lighting, the mood, and the architecture it lives inside.
Applicators with VVS are not painters, drywall installers, or any other trade. We work with specialty artisans that posses true skill and artistic ability beyond.
